Benefits of Certification
Certifications are Valued
Employer surveys show that certifications are
highly valued by employers, according to
Microsoft. Microsoft Certified System
Administrator (MCSA) is regarded by some as a
“must have” certification.
Know More, Make More
According to Microsoft Certified
Professional Magazine’s 2004 salary survey,
Microsoft certifications increase salaries. 41%
of the 5000 certified professionals surveyed in
2004 said that their Microsoft certifications
were responsible for increases in their salary.
It just makes sense that if you know more,
you’re worth more.
Certifications can be a Competitive Edge
Competition is fierce for some of the most
desirable I.T. jobs in America today. Having
up-to-date skills in current technologies is
important if you are a contender for these jobs.
Career Programs Emphasize Certification
New Horizons Career Center offers programs that
include an emphasis on industry certifications,
including Microsoft certifications. Once you’ve
successfully completed the relevant training,
you’ll be given the opportunity to prepare for
and pass certification exams. Each program leads
to a number of industry certification exams, as
described in the following program descriptions.
Networking Skills are in Demand
New Horizons’ career training programs are based
on the skills businesses say they want their I.T.
employees to have. Your program includes
opportunities to sit side-by-side with
currently-employed industry professionals and
participate in the same learning that their
employers are paying for them to get. |
